1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ToggleKR (the "Service," located at www.togglekr.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

Your continued use of the Service following any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of those modifications.

2. Description of Service

ToggleKR is a bilingual (Korean–English) magazine-style website that provides articles related to Korea, primarily intended for learners of the Korean language. The Service is provided free of charge.

The Service does not require user registration and does not currently provide features such as accounts, comments, posts, likes, or newsletter subscriptions.

3. Eligibility

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in jurisdictions where a higher minimum age applies, including the European Economic Area). By using the Service, you represent that you meet the applicable minimum age requirement.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 Ownership

Except for third-party materials, open-source software, libraries, trademarks, fonts, images, or other materials used under license, all original content created by the operator, including articles, text, translations, original graphics, layout, and other original materials, is the property of the operator of ToggleKR and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

4.2 Limited License to Users

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to access and view the content of the Service for personal, non-commercial use only.

4.3 Reservation of Rights

All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. Without limiting the foregoing, you may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, or create derivative works of any content without the prior written permission of the operator;
  • Use any content for commercial purposes;
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities in connection with the Service:

  • Using automated tools, bots, scripts, or other means to scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise extract content in bulk;
  • Engaging in any activity that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on the infrastructure of the Service, including but not limited to denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks;
  • Reproducing, redistributing, mirroring, or republishing content from the Service without authorization;
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of any part of the Service;
  • Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any technical measures used to protect or restrict access to the Service;
  • Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.

The operator reserves the right to take appropriate measures against users who violate these provisions, including but not limited to IP-based access restrictions and pursuit of legal remedies.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. The operator does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or policies of any third-party websites. You access third-party websites entirely at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those websites.

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.

7.2 Educational Content Disclaimer

The content provided on the Service is for informational and educational purposes only. The Service is not a substitute for formal Korean language education, professional instruction, or certified learning materials. The operator does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the content for any specific learning objective, certification, examination, or professional use. You assume all responsibility for any decisions or outcomes based on your use of the content.

7.3 Service Availability

The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice. The operator shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or to the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea; provided, however, that this provision shall not deprive you of any protection afforded to you by mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

10. Changes to These Terms

The operator may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator with respect to the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, whether written or oral.
